Heavy overnight snow on a south south easterly wind turning to wet snow around 8am. freezing level probably 800m so slightly wet snow during the day. fresh southerly breeze. The weather cleared completly and the snow started to refreeze after 3pm.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
The big overnight drifts had to be pisted out first thing. The snow was wet on top but dry underneath and gave a good skiing surface. The off piste was particularly good, slightly damp but firm dense snow. Lovely skiing.

Temperature around about freezing all day. Fresh westerly wind. Cloudy in the morning but clearing to a lovely sunny afternoon.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Huge drifts in first thing which took over an hour to piste out. Really good cover on most of the main run though a little thin and narrow near the bottom.
Powder gulley complete. Other runs skiable but thin.
A really good days skiing. best conditions for four years.

Over-cast with tantalising glimpses of clearing skies on the horizon. Some very light precipitation. Usual wind at the summit. Zero to sub zero temperatures from base to throughout.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Possible to complete runs BUT far too much visible grass/heather for me. Most snow cover close to the lift run. Stayed on the hill from about 10.30 till 1pm. Very pleased not to have travelled too far and only fell off lift from hell a couple of times!! Much respect to Carlisle ski club members for their hard work.

Grand day to kick off the English ski season. Started off misty wiht temp around freezing, as the day went on temp rose slightly, softening conditions and then chilled down as the cloud lift through out the afternoon.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
6 inch of new snow on super slippy grass with no rocks. Snow improved as day went on becoming colder and faster. Off pist was quite good for laying down some tracks.
