Windy AM, died down PM. Visibility very poor in Ptarmigam Bowl but improved elsewhere through the day. Some snow showers.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Very icy all areas first thing but softened up as the day progressed esp. on the Traverse and the Cas. Hard packed snow with some rocks showing but these are visible and easily avoided. Good cover in Ptarmigan Bowl, Traverse, Cas and the zig zags. Didn't try M1, M2 or the car park runs. Cairngorm website reporting that lower slopes should be avoided. The Home Rd isn't too bad though.

Adrian (posted Monday 6th) so right. Also have read your return email to Chairman Nevis Range about ticket system. I had bad experience Sat+Sun. Sunday I parked at Ciste side 8: 30am. Got on mountain 10am. The parkers were so slow, caused a tail back on the road, caused a jam of traffic (local service bus could not get up- 50mins late). Parking too slow! Should take the cars in both entrances to car park and park cars each side of area and in middle - so common sense, so simple! Ciste side was full by 9am BUT Eliz Yule transport did not start till 9am (to transport round to train). The queues of skiers waiting were frozen by the time the E.Yule bus arrived. Should have parking areas in the village and transport up the mountain. No queues to speak of once you got to ski - so could have sold much more tickets if the transport sorted (and the ticket q sorted). Gorm not pre-empting the foreseeable issues. Hamish - you posted a note just before the weekend to tell us skiers to get up there early Sat Sun! BUT, as it turns out you did not tell the staff and transport to do the same! So many customers turned away! So many ?s! Will not buy another season ticket - I've had it now - Gorm just never learns.

Clear lower down, but cloudy on upper slopes. some wind. Freezing at all levels
:: Snow Conditions & Info
All mountain coverage. fence high powder drifts. Poor base off-piste but still very rideable. Runs had a fresh covering over the previous days detritious. No grooming. Rode the M1 lift to enjoy the fence drifts on and off the White Lady. Later tracked East of it onto the hut wall and enjoyed deeper powder. Catching edges on rocks. Will tore out his binding disk. Took road home to the base station
