F/L was surface. Overhead was perfect, no wind and sunny apart from 9am-11am when a little cloud. Warm and like the alps. Amazing
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Cover was excellent and runs were soft powder or packed powder. Only negative was why they hadn't pisted more runs and opened more lifts.
Also, why haven't any Scot ski centres sussed out customer service yet. 1hr to get a pass and skis, etc, etc. Always the same. Surely, they can get a tix machine, online booking, etc, etc.....simply isn't good enough in this day and age. Shame isn't it.

Mixed over head conditions. Anywhere from the Top of the Cas below seemed to be below the cloud and out of the wind. Up in the top bowl, it was pretty horrible at tiimes, with many a child cry about the icy snow getting blasted into their face.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
It's was pretty much ride wherever you wanted today, with the exception of the Ciste Gully (closed for safety reasons). Off the pisted runs, the snow was knee deep powder, allowing you to make your own tracks all the way down the hill. On the pisted runs, the snow was still soft and ideal for taking the odd tumble on. Lower down it was a little harder in the busier places (eg. burnside) but hey, at least you could ride top to bottom.

:: Weather Conditions
Started off cold and windy with very poor visability at the top of the mountain, but cloud lifted after mid-day.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Snow cover was very icy at the top with some fresh wind blown snow near the fences. Coire Cas zone down to Shieling had enough snow cover for skiing/boarding but was thin in places leaving exposed soil and vegetation. Very poor signage of route back to Shieling station and start of M1 Poma. There was better cover alongside Coire Cas T-bar but the snow was left unpisted. M1 was mostly complete but had also been left unpisted leaving difficult conditions. We also noted that lift 5 (Fiacaill T-Bar) has no lift cable, just a row of pylons, so should surely not be shown on the piste map? Good day overall but definate problems with piste marking and grooming.

Great day for ski-ing today - sunny and cold.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Top bowl is generally in good condition, still some rocks trying to catch you out if your not careful. Fairway probably the best pisted run at the top, although the ciste bowl was decent enough. Off-piste wise, the left of the ptarmigan tow looking up was pretty good, although again rocks had to be watched for. If you could be bothered with the walk, No. 1 Gully looked do-able, but don't think anybody attempted it. Didn?t think the terrain park was worth the walk, so can't say much about that (Summit tow is defiantly needed for this IMO)

Traverse is in excellent condition as is the 105. Upper cas has good unpisted snow (needed the full length of the traverse to reach it though as the t-bar was closed) The best ski-ing on the cas was the t-bar's up-track down to the top of the gunbarrel. Probably the best section on the hill, albeit a short section, is marked as closed - the link between the 105 and the bottom of the M1 Poma (the section which runs parallel to the gunbarrel). This provided a far better route to the poma than the Zig-zags, which gave the bases a complete hammering as the cover is so thin. M1 is unpisted and has some good sport with a few rocky sections. A couple of tracks were visible on the white lady, but it didn't look worth the bother - needs more snow. There was a delay in opening the M1 poma due to the time past since it was last run, but it eventually opened about 12ish.

It's possibly to pick a route back to the daylodge via the car park runs (Home road I image would be as bad as the Zig-Zags so never bothered), but great care is needed. The first section up to the bottom of the Shieling tow was bumpy but easily passable with care, the next section up to the point were the run comes closest to the railway is the best section of the run, then it all gets a bit tricky with rock/heather/burn hoppin involved to reach the day lodge.
