Glenfeshie, Achlean, across Mhor to Angels Peak.
:: Weather Conditions
Cloudy, sun trying to get through. Cloud on top.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Snow from 900m. Good cover over Mhor, only about 100m of grass hopping. Plenty of depth where it lies of good spring snow, though rather soft for skinny skis, three pin, teles.

Braeriach
Parked at Whitewell, walked into Lairig Ghu. Skinned up to top of Sron na Lairige. From there, went on to summit of Braeriach, changing frequently between skiing, skinning and carrying skis, so the extra climb didn't really add much extra skiing. On return was able to ski from Sron na Lairige at 1184m for 2km down to 775m, in Coire Gorm. Then traversed out on skins, for a final short but steep ski off the ridge, back into the Lairig Ghu. The long walk in and out gave me blisters. I had considered taking a bike, I don't think it would have saved time on the way in, but would have been welcome on the way out. Wearing trainers to and from the tree line would have been good.
:: Weather Conditions
Nice morning. Some gusts. Cloud came in above 1200M. Overcast in afternoon.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
A nice big virgin patch of snow. Not fresh, but not melting. Scottish Summer Skiing!

Beinn a'Bhuird
:: Weather Conditions
Clear, bright. Light to moderate W winds.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
We were able to skin from the car park at Linn of Quoich with only a few bare patches on the track. Crossing the river was possible using ice bridges, although these had degraded by the time we returned back later. The snow was firm on climb, and on plateau, but never icy. On the initial decent off the South Top, the cover was wind-scoured, but this soon relented, leaving at first hard-pack, then lower down corn conditions in the Snechda bowl.

Carn Dearg in the Monadliath from Glen Banchor. Given scoured ridges in the Gorms, Category 3 on steep east facing slopes and a forecast of 55mph westerly summit winds we chose Carn Dearg as a potentially doable ski peak. The approach road was deeply rutted which at least assured good snow cover at lower levels. The NE facing ramp to the top col was about 20 degrees and we felt we were far enough away from the steep SE face of Carn Ban. A good route that is shown on the cover of Ski Mountaineering In Scotland
:: Weather Conditions

We reckoned the MWIS forecast minus 5 with 55mph winds giving wind chill around -20C was about right. Visibility came and went with a clear spell at the summit.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
There had been a few more inches overnight blown off to an icy surface in places. We had harscheisen on from the top col. We kept skins and harscheisen on for the descent to the top col due to the wind.
