:: Weather Conditions
Lightish SW winds. Initially poor visibility but it improved substantially during the day. Beautiful views in the afternoon.

Temp was 0C on arrival rising to 2C then quickly dropping back after 2: 30pm when the snow started to freeze up again.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Despite all the press coverage about the 'avalanche risk' in the Lake District there isn't THAT much snow.

The snow line is about 700m with some old patches overlain with newish snow from Friday morning and a bit more last night.

The Presidents run is complete with good cover. A bit narrow at the very bottom perhaps.

Savages gulley has good cover at the top but is thin from the middle.

However more snow is forecast this week and what we have would be the beggining of a great base.

Expect more avalanche warnings !
:: Riders
Only 12 skiers, boarders and teleskiers today. A poor turn out really but no queues.
