Strong strong winds from the NE. Not good for a NE facing slope. Clear at times, but clouded over with spindrift squals and flat light. Tow shut 14: 00 due to high winds causing the access road to block. Whcih it did after a van got stuck. Leaving hill took about 2hr.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Striped back to base with ice and scoured patches on exposed ridges. Change in wind direction to East should re-fill all fences and runs.

Best cover West runs of F2.

Off piste heavy.

The hangover after 3 Days of the Powder.

Clear blue sky with the sun again reaching the day lodge. Time to move those benches back!
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Powder fields in the rushes, a little scrubed on some of the runs but only very very small sections. Some heavy some ice but all fun. Its very very close to being as good as it gets. Saturdays winds robbing some of the powder. Everything will go.

Clear blue skies but it faces north so no sun on the slopes at this time of year until you pop out at the top of F2.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
The wide pistes west of F1 mean Weardale offers some good length wide runs even under the current thin conditions. East of F1 a bit more the traditional Pennine grass skiing including a 3-4m frozen mud section. F2 - the wind has been in the wrong direction to build up on the new west line fences off the top of F2. For sedge hoppers only until the wind switches. Which it looked like it had on Sat eve.

Enough to be entertaining.

75% to 85% cover on most runs off F1, F2 wasnt running. I dont know, you wait four years for decent cover and then cant get at it.

Snow was a real mixed bag but was all going spring like. Not sure about conditions off the top but have included some pics of the gully and black scar in the photos.

Didnt recognise a single face today. Got told quite a few times about lines that had never been skied before. Perhaps not since the 80s. Apparently wednesday was the day and the club field just felt quite chiled out in an after glow kind of way.

About 40-50 people.
