A day of bright Sunny Spells and convective snow showers which with a spell of light but steady snow last night has given a further top up of snow to an already loaded Meall a' Bhuiridh.
With the ferocity of the storm at the end of last week into the weekend, there is a huge depth of snow on most of the runs, quite incredible depths in the likes of the Canyon, Thrombosis gully and Ski Tow Gully. There had been some scoured areas, notably on the Spring Run and further round on Etive Glades, but these are improving steadily with the snow showers, so surface conditions are now for the most part excellent.
With extensive cover and good riding back to the top of the Access Chair, there is lots of options for all ability levels just now and the groomers are coming up with perfect machine packed powder 'hero snow'. Pick of the day was the Rock Garden area skiers right of the Top Tows, superb skier packed snow with a lovely layer of fresh.
As we approach Easter Weekend there should be some further snow showers over the next couple of days, with Sunny spells in-between. Before things settle down further to fine and dry, with light winds. With great mid-winter snow, Spring is very definitely King this year at Glencoe.
