T40 at the top of the Sheiling, notice buried snow fence!

Skiing through a machine made blizzard on the upper reaches of the Carpark Run.

Fantastic snow through the 3 lanes on the Sheiling area. Best option for snowplough turners.

Drifted fresh on the M2, bashed out should give lovely riding, but some scrapped bits likely on steeper sections.

Cas Gunbarrel at the end of the day, no matter how busy, the lifts are quiet late afternoon!

Fiacaill has often been great riding in recent weeks, when you might have expected otherwise!

Having some fun in the wind lips caught by the Daylodge Poma fences.

Coire Cas was good skier / machine packed powder surfaces.

Mother's Day brought some sunny spells and convective snow showers to CairnGorm Mountain. Also a strong wind which restricted uplift with the Daylodge, Fiacaill Ridge and West Wall Pomas, plus Ciste T-bar closed.

The wind made for a severe windchill and though not as windy as it was on Sunday the next few days will still be very cold so the full winter gear is definitely required if your heading up to take advantage of the new snow.

The new snow is accumulated on lee aspects and suitably orientated fence lines, so not uniformly refreshed surface conditions and varying wind direction will move the best snow around as it remains very light and powdery in the continuing very cold temperatures. So worth exploring about to find out what's best.

On Sunday Coire Cas and the 105, plus the Fiacaill Area were good with a skier / machine packed powder layer covering the hard base. But sharp edges were needed to make full advantage of the extensive base on the White Lady after the races finished.

3 of the T40 fanguns have been blazing away for several days now on the Sheiling Trainer Tow area, so this has excellent conditions for novices who can snowplough turn and are advancing to the tows. The Sheiling mini park was taken down on Monday to even out the machine made snow, but should be rebuilt during Tuesday.
