Report
Huge accumulations of deep powder snow over the previous few days allowed for an amazing powder day despite the strong winds and poor visibility. With a few feet of level snow and metres of drifting, the mountain now has fantastic cover all over.
With only the lower lifts open, the more adventurous skiers took to the buried downhill track. Rocks were scarce at first but more became exposed as more people skied it. Ski it soon before the snow thaws at lower levels!
Upper runs are expected to have fantastic cover of deep powder snow with plenty of drifting when they open. Back Corries have high avalanche risk but will hopefully open when this decreases.
