H11lly finds some windblown fresh below the Traverse at Sundown.

Sun about to set on a fantastic day on CairnGorm Mountain at the top of the Traverse.

Going up the M1 Poma, SideTrack and RaceTrack good, but fast with very firm base under the fresh.

Tracked up loose snow on the East Lady, some good lines but stick to where there is a good base.

Ptarmigan Restaurant from the top of the Traverse, which is a motorway!

White Lady giving beautiful sport for advanced skiers and boarders.

Machine packed powder corduroy on a firm and grippy base on the upper White Lady.

H1lly on the M2, Loch Morlich beyond, the pick of the pisted stuff for the blue runs.

Looking down the full width Ciste Fairway to Meall a' Bhuachaille.

Fantastic cover and surface conditions in the Ptarmigan Bowl.

Heading for the Aonach Bowl by the M2. Aonach well pisted but firm grippy snow, not much fresh.

Carpark Run is fully complete via Burnside with the narrow thin sections patched up.

Coire Cas Gunbarrel is riding like a very shallow halfpipe, loose fresh on a firm base.

Lower Gunbarrel and the Cas T-bar, lower slopes beyond.

Skier skates away from the top of the Fiacaill Ridge Poma, Zig Zags below in great shape.

A couple of inches fresh snow lower down to probably 3-4 inches fresh up top with some windblown stashes, then chuck in bluebird weather above a sea of inversion mist and you have one fabulous Thursday on the 'Gorm.

The base is generally firm but grippy, though there is the occasional slicker patch with some icy bits in heavy traffic areas near the approach to the tows, but where pisted the surface conditions were great.

There is top to Daylodge riding on offer with the Carpark Run much improved via the Burnside option from earlier in the week, no problem returning to the Carpark level.

From Sheiling level up, the mountain retains extensive cover with pretty much total cover across the upper mountain. For intermediates the M2 was skiing superbly, while for more advanced riders the White Lady was the pick of the day.

Two piste bashers were working in the Fiacaill Terrain Park area through the afternoon, not sure if new features were going on or just reshaping the variety of rollers that were out that way.

Another fine inversion day with good sunny spells forecast Friday, get up there and enjoy it. Daylodge Poma will run at weekend (& Friday if demand) which will provide a quick return to the top if the M1 is busy at the weekend.
