A bluebird day with a covering of fresh snow marked the Winter Solstice and the official start of astronomical winter on CairnGorm Mountain.
Fresh powdery snow and machine packed powder where groomed on top of a hard packed base. East lady, East Wall Gullies, between the traverse and 105, between the Cas and Fiaciall and the Aonach were the locations of the best stashes on Tuesday.
