We drove through the wind blasted Lecht with a promise of better things beyond, stopping briefly in Braemar it was clear the wind had other ideas.
Somedays you know before you leave the car that you should have stayed in bed. In the time taken to drive from the Lecht what upper mountain lifts had opened first thing had already succumbed to the storm force winds (storm force in the carpark that is). Even the Claybokie Poma derailed numerous times, at least it justified yet another hot chocolate stop in the Cairnwell Cafe.
