Report
Another mostly bright and sunny day but noticeably colder than on Thursday. The snow pack has firmed up with refrozen spring snow giving firm to hard packed surfaces but generally grippy, though there are some slick patches on the 105 and the Cas. A fine day is expected on Saturday with a return to slightly milder temperatures â€' this combined with heavier skiing traffic should see the surface loosen through the morning to gradually give a layer of spring snow on top of the firm base.
All Top Basin runs are complete and retain a reasonable width given the duration of thaw conditions that have prevailed over the past week. Lower down only the upper Cas is complete and the Gunbarrel is broken so some walking is required to regain the Funicular at the mid-station if you have been riding in Coire Cas. The Cas Tow is loading at the top of the Gunbarrel. According to this evenings updates last Train up will be 3.50pm and last down 4.30pm for Saturday.
