By late December new snow had returned, and with the funicular construction finally over, and the ski area ready for action, the 2001 season got of to a belated start towards the end of the December with the best part of two months of snowsports already lost due to the construction work on CairnGorm, and unfortunately no other area had got anywhere near as much November snow!
