Lower Happy Valley in the narrows.

Wide cover in the Main Basin, still flat through the Haggis Trap.

Couple of minutes wait peak, both top tows going.

Old Mugs Alley is the best green run, still in good shape.

Looking down Mugs Alley from the corner.

Spring Run was bombproof in the morning, but grippy later.

Plateau Poma uptrack and run still complete for access to and from the main area.

Launching off a bank of snow on the lower leg of Mugs Alley.

Braving the Spring Run looking towards the Ben.

Off to judge the Junior Coe Cup.

Report
A day of Sunny Spells and occasional snow showers at Glencoe today and a morning for sticking to the groomers with the much colder temperatures.

A light dusting of fresh helped the Main Basin and Happy Valley piste up nicely, but scrapped patches did develop through the day with fairly heavy traffic with many people sticking to the Main Basin. Mid-mountain things did loosen up, though the Canyon remained hard.

Flypaper was closed and the Spring Run was horrible up top, but cutting in from Rannoch Glades it was grippy rather than slick, but hard on the knees with the firm snow pack.

Old Mugs Alley is the pick for easier terrain, if the Coire Pollach Tow is running that's the easiest option, but a longer run can be had off the Cliffhanger using the top leg of Mugs Alley, then onto Old Mugs Alley back to the Cliffhanger via the central fork of Old Mugs Alley.

Snow showers on Sunday should gradually freshen things up, snow is expected to intensify later into the afternoon and the mesoscale models have steady snow continuing overnight with perhaps as much as 10-15cm of snow for some Western mountains by Monday morning. SW gales developing overnight into Monday before moderating should help drift snow into the snowsports area, towards mid-week the outlook is for Sunny Spells, cool and light winds. keep an eye on the webcams!
