Its a long walk in. Not everyone makes it.

Brown Cove and Helvellyn from the end of day decent into Kepple Cove. Creative linking of drifts enabled a surprising long descent today.

:: Weather Conditions
0.5c at 740m. Snow frozen all day. light easterly breeze, brighter spells in the morning but mainly overcast. Good visibility.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Presidents and Savages both have good cover though narrower at the top in several palces. Way out west skiable but re frozen crust was not pleasant. Presidents got better during the day with the light traffic smoothing the surface nicely. Good skiing by the end of the day. Should be good right from the start tomorrow. Thursdays snow had filled in the runs again and the trenches dug out for the Pomas. Still too much snow to enable lift loadingfrom the normal uphill side. Downhill side for loading only. The underlying snow is now rock hard and up to 3m deep in places. The season goes on.......
:: Riders
only about 15 skiers came and went during the day. no queues.
