Bluebird day! Clear blue skies, no wind, warm at car park level.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Main side was loaded with fresh snow on a firm base. Fresh powder everywhere, hard in morning but softened up in the sun. Buzzard side was not pisted when we were there and very wind blown with hard icy patches. Was very quiet, had the place to ourselves most of the morning but busied up in the afternoon.

:: Snow Conditions & Info
A very enjoyable afternoon at the Lecht using a mixture of lifts and skins.
The runs have a hard base with soft snow on top. In between the runs on the west ( main ) side of the hill the surface was wind ridged, quite hard and icy in places but with pockets of soft powder. I enjoyed the area to the restaurant side of the Falcon.
I took a wander over the back towards the Camore Burn. Here the snow was smooth and sun baked and just fantastic to ski. Had a couple of runs then skinned back and used the Eagle tow which was still in the sun.
Knowing how great the west facing slopes were I finished by skinning up the Buzzard which had not been running and had a fantastic final run back to the car.
Great afternoon

Blue skies in morning, a bit cloudy for a time in the afternoon. Stayed very cold all day. Light winds, but a bit fresher at tops.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Buzzard simply wall to wall with snow. Minimal pisting done to offer a couple of runs back to the day lodge. Still scope to put down your own tracks on powder. Best area beside tow and off to the North side of the tow. If I could ski powder properly, I'd give it a 6!

Snowy Owl, Grouse, Eagle 1&2 all excellent. Groomed to perfection! Soft snow on a firm base, but a few icy patches outwith the marked runs.

Clear blue sky, wisps of cloud late afternoon. Freezing all levels, but warm in the sun. No wind.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Excellent cover. Couple of inches of fresh over a hard base. Marked runs well pisted. Off piste wonderful. Great off piste runs down to Well of the Lecht, if you have a driver to bring you back - 2 miles of virgin snow and 1000ft vertical. Head north from Buzzard, traverse over flats then dive down to the road...fab ! Also boarded 2/3rds way down to Cock Bridge on way home.

Great to see just how right the Lecht can get things...maybe they should take over Cairngorm ?
