Report
It snowed fairly steadily overnight, around 8 inches of powder at Daylodge Level with the clouds breaking pre dawn. Wednesday dawned under a perfect blue sky over CairnGorm Mountain to usher in a fantastic bluebird powder day for the middle of half term.

Despite full car parks, the extent of snow cover and excellent visibility meant people spread far and wide all over the 'Gorm, keeping queues generally low, though the WWP and M1 had it's moments. The Daylodge Poma always provided a bolt hole for a much shorter queue despite the numbers using the Daylodge Piste and also provided the option to ride the lower Aonach Bowl and Ciste Gully back to the Shuttle Bus.

Ride anywhere cover on the upper and mid-mountain, with extensive off-piste options even around the lower slopes. The Fiacaill T-bar line as often this season was holding sweet snow for moderate off-piste lines. For steeper stuff the East Lady and Coronation Wall was seeing action and the Aonach Bowl has been super for it's full length all week, ski out the Gully and use the shuttle bus to return to the lifts.

All routes to both carparks are available, but the Ciste Gully is the best option back to the Ciste Carpark for those unfamiliar with the area or preferring less variable surface conditions that can be found off the beaten track on the Laogh Mor Return and Aonach Ridge.

Superb sport for all ability levels. The Fiacaill Terrain Park has a variety of rails and kickers, while a much larger kicker is under construction in the Ptarmigan Bowl.
