Report
Saturday 3rd March dawned snowy and wild, and given the press coverage suggesting the ski areas would be shut by Sunday, a huge queue was building at the Glenmore Gates from early morning.
By 8am things were looking bleak, with a blizzard raging, and the link road under a foot of drifting snow, but with the queue already back beyond Loch Morlich, and the real threat of this being the last day of the season there was only every going to be one decision, and shortly after 8am the Glenmore Gates were duly opened and the impatient hordes were let through to do battle with white stuff.
It was never going to be a classic day, storm force winds, and 6 deep queues for the M1 Poma don't a good day make!
