The West has faired somewhat better than the East over the past couple of weeks, and though the lower mountain has largely being stripped, there is still some decent sport to be had on the upper slopes of Meall a' Bhuiridh, with the Main Basin, Happy Valley, Spring Run and Fly Paper still complete. A good day on Saturday thanks to fine weather and often blue skies.
With cooler conditions today the snow probably wont soften that much, but the thaw is over for the time being, and there is certainly a reasonable base to build from, on the middle slopes the Canyon and the Wall still retain an almost complete cover, and the Plateau Poma track wouldn't need much new snow.
