Skier packed fresh snow on the Wall in the afternoon.

Fantastic fresh on the top half of the 'Darkside' of the Access Chairlift.

Various lines with nice accumulations of windblown fresh on the Black Access Run.

Ski Patrol showing how it's done on the Darkside, in the shallow narrow gully that forms the black Access Run.

Fantastic top half, sporty first part of the lower half, but a short hoof required from here back to the carpark.

Exploring the options on the black Access Run for some fresher tracks.

The Plateau and mid-mountain greens are all in good shape so options for all ability levels.

Mugs Alley in great shape and nicely pisted / skier packed fresh snow.

Old Mugs Alley is filled to the brim - there is a gully down most of this line (fences were destroyed in January's storms)!

Plateau Poma doing it's thing on Saturday afternoon - it was the longest wait, timed it at 8 and 9minutes twice I was on it.

Sorry no photos from the upper mountain today as I never got above mid-station level and only got a few runs in while moving some weather station and network gear around.

The accumulations of new snow over the past 3 days has covered almost all the hard base after the mid-week thaw/freeze cycle, just the odd hard patch on either exposed bits or where heavy traffic caused the occasional crapped patch.

Main Basin started the day as a packed powder corduroy motorway, fantastic for laying out some big carves on. Mid-Mountain Thrombosis was a blast for those venturing onto reds who are comfortable with the Main Basin, this is a good one to try - as you can escape right to the Bunny Run and high road at present.

For the adventurous there was some sweet lines on the upper reaches of the black Access Run, but a it's only for advanced riders comfortable riding in pretty confined snow cover with a degree of exposure at present as things get a whole lot more sporting lower down and some walking is required at the bottom of the low level Access Runs, but that could change over the next few days. Was worth it though for the top half.

From the top of the Access Chair up there's good cover and excellent surface conditions, 1400ft vertical from Summit to top of the Chair. You can push that up to around 2250ft on the Black Access Run if you are keen!
